Donna Desmond, President of Donna Desmond Associates, has specialized in business valuation since 1986. She has completed thousands of appraisal assignments for both governmental entities and private parties throughout the Western United States. Ms. Desmond has qualified as an expert in business and billboard valuation in Federal District Court and in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara and Contra Costa counties as well as in the states of Nevada and Texas. Further, Ms. Desmond has testified extensively in arbitration regarding business damages, goodwill loss in eminent domain and outdoor advertising valuation issues.

Ms. Desmond is a senior member of the American Society of Appraisers, Business Valuation discipline. She is also a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers and the International Right of Way Association. Ms. Desmond has written numerous articles on business valuation and damage estimation. She is also a contributing author to the Handbook of Small Business Valuation Formulas, published in 1987 and revised in 1988. Ms. Desmond regularly gives seminars to public agencies, attorney groups, and appraisal organizations on various business valuation topics.
